PSD Scholarships Quota

Yesterday,

Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Tan Sri Bernard Dompok yesterday announced the PSD overseas scholarship allocation. The 2000PSD Scholarship will be divided into four category.

• 200 Scholarship for Sabah and Sarawak bumiputra students (10%)
• 400 Scholarship for excellent students (20%)
• 1200 Scholarship for bumiputra and non-bumiputra students nationwide(60%)
• 200 Scholarship for disabled students (10%)

This year, we have 1,676 students with straight 1As and 6,277 who obtained all As.
Why don't they give all the 1,676 straight 1A's the scholarship and the balance of 324 for straight A's students from poor family background (Including for those bumiputras, non bumiputras, Sabah and even Sarawak) without looking at this quota system.

I was driving back from class today and I bumped to a car number plate PDL 15 – (POLIS). Its nice if we can own a number plate which suits our name. Champions League Quarter Final Draw

The Champions League quarter-final has been drawn today (20th March 2009). The eight teams that will be playing in the Champions League Quarter Final are Villarreal, Arsenal, Man. What is Earth Hour ?

Earth Hour is an annual international event created by the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature/World Wildlife Fund), held on the last Saturday of March (This year March 28 2009), that asks households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights and electrical appliances for one hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change. It was pioneered by WWF Australia and the Sydney Morning Herald in 2007, and achieved worldwide participation in 2008.

Earth Hour 2009 is 8:30–9:30 March 28 2009. Currently, 80 countries and 750 cities are 'committed to Earth Hour 2009', a huge increase from people participating in 35 countries for Earth Hour 2008

So on this 28th of March 2009. Lets do our part in saving the world. Turn off your house/office lights just for one hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change. (Global Warming)

In Dubai, where external lighting on several major city landmarks was turned off and street lighting in selected areas was dimmed by 50%, the Electricity and Water Authority reported savings of 100 megawatt-hours of electricity. This represented a 2.4% reduction in demand compared to before the hour began

SPM Result - 12 March 2009

Many students have been asking me when will the SPM results will be announced. SPM 2008 result will be out on next Thursday (12 March 2009).(The Star)

Students would be able to obtain the results after 10am from their respective schools, said Education director-general Datuk Alimuddin Mohd Dom.

Make sure you update the UPU application that you have filled in base n you result. For your application you can proceed to UPU WEBSITE

Proton Exora - Proton MPV

This is an updated post on the Proton Exora-Protan MPV which i posted last month. The new Proton MPV is given name of Proton Exora based on the name of the Ixora flower, with the tagline “Keriangan Keluarga”.
Proton MPV will be launched by April 2009. It will be priced under RM 80,000 and will be available in 5 colours - Genetic Silver, Tranquility Black, Blue Haze, Pyrite Brown and Gaia Blue. It will have SRS airbags as standard. Proton Exora will be expected to use Campro CPS engine. The image of Proton Exora is white but its not in the colours provided by Proton. (Source)

The instrumentation panel hood and upper dash seems to have a different texture from the rest of the dashboard and the center dash area where the 2-DIN head unit and air condition controls are also seem to have a sort of brushed look to it.
The seats are in the typical three-row MPV 2-3-2 order for 7 seats, and Proton claims them to be suitable for full adult seating.

The Proton Exora will have an overhead LCD player that can read VCDs and DVDs along with a variety of other storage devices such as devices using USB input, and a memory card slot that supports SD and MMC.

It looks like most cars have foldable back seat. Even the new Honda City 2009 and Myvi has foldable seats to ensure more space if need to transport things. Most Image and infomation is from (Paultan)

Anna Sufiah - Sufiah Yusof wannabe

Looks like there is another Sufiah Yusof has a "sister" following her footstep but in a different approach. Anna Sufiah (not her real name) a MALAY woman in her 20’s known as Anna ( not real name) has been offering for sex service online. She described herself as “she was a beautiful and sexy single woman from the east coast of peninsular Malaysia”. 7 photographs on her blog promoting herself and her “services”. Two of the pictures showed her nude. Anna claimed she graduated from a local university (UPM) and has seduced her lecturer in the past to pass exams. The Star

She has been the talk of the town after news about her came out in Kosmo. Kosmo is a Malay newspaper which like to cover on hot issues like this and there will be a news about UPM students somehow. She used to get her customer from her blog (Anna Sufiah's Blog) http://rohana-yaacob-upm.blogspot.com/. But unfortunately it has been deleted by Google as they have receive complains on this page. It is still unsure whether the blog was created by her or a third party to sabotage her image. Source

The list of Malaysian Top 40 Richest Man.

I prepared the list of Malaysian Top 40 Richest Man according to Forbes Malaysia's Top 40 Rich List. The list is lead by the Robert Kuok who is also known as the Sugar King and followed by Ananda Krishnan who is still the wealthiest Tamil ahead of Shiv Nadar, who is the 10th richest man in India. The other rich Indians in Malaysia include Vindo Shekar, Tony Fernandes, G.Gnanalingam. 4 Indians in Top 40 so 10%. Not bad as we make 8% population in Malaysia. It looks like there is two major changes that i notice where Datuk P.Kasi from MK Land is no more in the list and of cause Uncle Lim is also missing. Will be waiting for the Malaysia's Top 40 Rich of 2009 soon.
